Day 7 and Another

Day 7: Draw your family or a family member

I drew my younger sister, Angie, who's super epic at basketball as she is at volleyball.

Here's a painting I did at the Japanese Friendship Garden a week or two ago.

Day 6

Day 6 is "Something you've never drawn before"

......and I have never actually sat down and drew a Kangaroo, from life or otherwise.

Ballpoint pen and Watercolor (from photo)

....and two quick sketches I dubbed Tertle and Lyon.

SP 2 and 3, Day 5

Speed paintings 2 and 3. Both were 30 minutes. I probably should've done a simpler photo than the snow gear one...

Day 5: Favorite outfit.

When it's cold weather (like it is nowadays), I like wearing a hoodie with a jacket over it, a scarf and nice jeans.

SP 1

I finally did my first speed painting today. It was hard and oddly fun! ^^

My reference photo is one my pastor, Alice, took while a group of us were in Tahoe a couple of days ago.

Now that trip was quite something else.

Just remember snowboarding, skiing, falling, snowball fight, concussion, swerving on the road, stuck in the snow, and good talks.

However I truly praise Jesus that no one was seriously injured and we all made it home safely.

Day 3 and 4

Day 3 was Draw one, some, or all of you friends.

I decided to do quick scratches of my housemates.

Living with them has really allowed me to grow as a person and learn not only about them but about myself as well.

For Day 4 it was Draw an animal you think is really cute.

I drew an American Eskimo.

My good friend, Sean, has three dogs one of which is an adorable American Eskimo named Puka. I drew this one from a photo online since I didn't have a chance to really sit down and draw Puka. She moves around way too much....

2013!

Happy 2013!

2012 was a great year and 2013 is going to be better!

It's been a little hard, but I'm trying my best to draw everyday, even if it's just for a little bit.

Here's a little character bit I did today, inspired by David Colman! Specifically I had this in mind.

I used a black Prismacolor color pencil and a white carbothello pencil on tone paper.
